Media Australia Clean Up Day 2012

On the 23rd of March 2012 Jamat Ahmadiyya Australia participated in cleanup Australia day. Cleanup Australia day is an annual event host in March to clean the roads, parks and the lands of Australia.

 

Amir and Missionary Incharge Mahmood Ahamd spoke about the rainy weather and flooded condition in Sydney  but we were all blessed to have such a fine and sunny day for today’s cleanup event.

Sadar Kuddamul Ahmadiyya Australia also mentioned that men, women and children were participated in the clean Up Australia day event.

 

Ian Kiernan the chairman and founder of cleanup Australia day, said that an estimated five hundred and ninety one thousand four hundred volunteers join clean up Australia day activities this year. Early figures predict they will have removed around sixteen thousand tons of rubbish; Mr Kiernan paid tribute to all those who have participated in a cleanup activity in Australia Clean Up Day over the past 22 years, including volunteers, councillors and local government workers, the guys behind the truck collecting rubbish our sponsors and donors who have funded this journey and media who have helped spread the word. Every one of you embodies the sprites of Australia.
